It's been just over 13 months, or 57 weeks, since I relocated. Kinda scary to think back of it like that, especially if you let your thoughts drift in the direction of "life's short"! ;-)
I thought I'll write some more personal updates here. I'm curious who reads these and what they're after: if there's a subset of this stream you would like to read, let me know. I will probably branch out other blogs or something for more focused topics.
This one will become my "I don't care what I write here" outlet again, in terms of having no particularly focused topic anyway. First up, I'll probably write some "life in Europe" updates. Requests and feedback welcome.

(we need an "edit my hastily typed comments" feature that will allow me to add an s where required)

I added the s for you. You being you, I nearly added it in the wrong place. ;-)
Yea, we need an edit feature (for people other than me). We also need more time with which to implement the features we need. And we need more features that will help us have more time with which to... ok, I shuddup nao. And go spy on you on ...another site... to see what you were up to again.
Nope, no info there, someone's clued up about the importance of privacy? ;-) You're into thousands of little things throwing themselves at the ground and missing, while doing so in interesting peer-to-peer negotiated formations-like, if I'm at all on the right track? Enjoying it?

Yip. Hundreds for now, but one day (when they've commissioned the supercomputer) I'll do thousands too. (It's not that python that is slow, it the underlying hardware sorting that out). To be honest, most of it is in a very abstract space, no shiny hardware, rockets or antennas. A would like abc done, where A can do a, B can do b, and C c. With connections, negotiations (trust the invisible hand) etc. The next part is making useful comparisons, and then polishing it to be shiny new science. But yeah, it's good.
As for privacy - my only contribution to the Zuckerberg billions is that fact that they still know I exist. And that I know some people. Blogs have more info, but obfuscated in natural language. I suppose I need to get an academic page up too. It's there, just really empty.
And you?
